Duties:Position Summary:

Perform and manage all purchasing related functions for the Enesco Gift brand of products including procuring of finished goods; reviewing supplier capacities, lead times, and moq�s; and ensuring that customer ship dates are met by the timely delivery of products.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1. Organize and direct the purchasing of all finished goods as it relates to the Enesco Gift brands of products.
2. Manage dollar spend by month to stated budgetary guidelines.
3. Maintain in-stock %�s and fill rates per organizational objectives.
4. Supervise the work and activities of a staff of 3 buyers.
5. Perform buying functions for a select number of brands.
6. Coordinate with overseas suppliers and team members to confirm production schedules and ship dates meet customer requirements.
7. Resolve issues as they arise related to shipping schedules, quality concerns, and/or other conflicts to prevent delays of customer shipments.
8. Create monthly capacity plans for key suppliers and recommend solutions for variances between supplier�s capacity and our production needs.
9. Review, modify, and develop new procedures for the buying group as well as ensure compliance to the stated policies.
10. Manage key milestones for product launches by working with supplier, marketing, sales and product development to ensure new products are launched per the agreed upon timeline.
11. Provide training to team members and other business units on system functionality as it relates to the purchasing functions.
12. Suggest and initiate programming enhancements to streamline purchasing process in conjunction with the information technology department.
13. Responsible for item master set-up process within system by making sure all required purchasing fields are completed by required deadlines.
Qualifications:Experience, Competencies, and Education:

1. No more than 10 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a consumer product based organization. Giftware industry, a plus.
2. Bachelors Degree, in a business related area, or equivalent work experience.
3. Solid written and verbal communication skills are required.
4. Strong negotiation skills a must.
5. Experience in purchasing from overseas manufacturers is required.
6. Forecasting experience is a plus.
7. Experience with PeopleSoft and/or other similar software a plus.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization as well as with external contacts.
10. Solid decision making skills.
11. Proficient with MS Office products.
